About Leslie

Leslie is dedicated to providing the highest level of service in the equine therapy and rehabilitation industry.  Her driving passion is her desire to help all horses perform at the top of their game, no matter what game that may be.

Education:
Leslie’s career with horses began in Canada at the age of five when she started her riding career under the guidance of some of Canada’s top hunter jumper professionals. While attending university for four years, Leslie had the opportunity to develop her vision and goals as a professional in the equine industry.  Leslie has been an active member of the California Bay Area equine community since being retained as an instructor, trainer and general consultant in 2001.

In 2006 sent Leslie to Calgary, Canada to study with Eqinology Inc., an internationally recognized school specializing in the training and ful certification of equine bodyworkers around the world.  She completed the Equine Body Worker Certification course and in January of 2007, Leslie completed her 6 month externship and became officially certified as an Equine Body Worker.

Leslie has additional advanced training with Jim Masterson and the Masterson Method, a unique, interactive method of equine bodywork which allows the horse to release deep, accumulated pain and tension in muscles and connective tissue.

Equinology is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider. Equinology's courses are approved and recognized by the International Equine Body Workers Association (www.iebwa.com), UK's McTimoney Chiropractic Association and the Society of Osteopaths in Animal Practice.
